A Shared Vision

A Path Toward a Thriving Surfside

When Shlomo was mayor, Surfside's budget was $30 million — and it funded real projects. He lowered the millage rate for the first time in three years. He established a Fund Balance Policy. He created a Capital Improvement Projects department that saved millions in project management costs. He secured over $6.2 million in state grants and appropriations.

Today, the budget has doubled to over $60 million. Capital projects have been canceled. State appropriations have dried up. That's what happens when a government can't keep a town manager for more than a few months.

Shlomo's vision for the town isn't complicated: Surfside needs a government that works. One that retains experienced staff. One who manages the budget responsibly. One that stands up for residents when developers come knocking. One that delivers tangible improvements to quality of life. That's not a dream.

That's what Shlomo already delivered as mayor. And it's what he'll deliver again.

The vision hasn't changed.

Surfside needs stable, competent leadership that puts residents first. Shlomo will:
